An excellent article, written by Bridget Randolph, and which i believe will be helpful to most small Businesses…

Google’s algorithm is based on an academia-inspired model of categorization and citations, keywords are used as a way to decipher the topic of the page. And the links from other sites (named as “backlinks”) to determine the relative authority of your site.

Their method and technology have got more sophisticated over time, but the main principles have remained the same.

If your website is set up to help Google and other search engines to answer the 4 questions in this article, yes then you will have covered the basic fundamentals of SEO (search engine optimization.)

Which means your small biz will be much easier to find on internet, by potential visitors and customers…

But folks, of course, there is a lot more that you can do to optimize in all of these areas and beyond, but for small Businesses.
